The recent theater massacre is a senseless slaughter. This of course is obvious. While watching Anderson Cooper, I found something he said moving and important. We as people remember the murderers, not the murdered. This is wrong. For that reason, I will not reveal the name of the murderer. He does not matter. He doesn't even deserve the small comfort of being in the deepest hole the world can offer. He doesn't even deserve to die. Because if Death acknowledges him, it is just giving into his sick wish of being in the limelight. He can just become, in Orwellian terms, an unperson. We should remember the victims. In this particular instance, 12 died. Among the dead are Jessica Ghawi, Alex Sullivan, and Micayla Medek. 58 people were injured. They are also victims. People tend to forget that. This should serve as a lesson for the world. Life is precious. Life is short. We should grieve and respect the dead, appreciate life, and never forget the victims of tragedy; alive or dead. But there is still hope. There are survivors, earlier mentioned. We should also take solace in the fact that they still have a chance at life. One of the sickest parts of all this is the fact that a month earlier,   Jessica, one of the victims, left her local mall food court a few minutes before a shooting. She then blogged about the value of life. Never forget the victims of the Aurora Movie Theater Massacre.
